Faux Christmas?

This Christmas card is contrived
A mannequin looks more alive
Haven't meant a word I've written here
The page is full not one thing sincere
I can't, I can't
I can't, I can't take it
This is the time to smile,I can't fake it
Please allow me the chance now
To break it down
It's not snow, It's rain coming down
And the lights are cool,
But they burn out
And I can't pull off the cheer
Not this year
Not this year
Not this year
When I look into the mirror
No happiness is present here

Not supposed to whine,
Not supposed to cry
Try to hold it in, but not this time
I can't, I can't
I can't, I can't take it
This is the time to smile,
I can't fake it
Please allow me the chance now
To break it down
It's not snow, It's rain coming down
And the lights are cool,
But they burn out
And I can't pull off the cheer
Not this year
Not this year
Not this year
Don't know, don't know
If you can hear me
I will, I will
Speak louder for you
No more whispering
Are you listening
I am pleading
I am pleading

Yeah, with this sunny SoCal weather its hard to distinguish Christmas from any other time of the year. But once the tree and decorations go up, it starts to feel like the holidays are coming. Get some Christmas music rockin on the iPod. Watch a silly Christmassy movie like "Its a Wonderful Life" or "Rudolph". Pershing Square downtown LA has an ice rink set up, you and a friend should jump on metrolink and make an excursion there. Then go sit on Santas lap if nothing but for the silly fun of it, and the photo! Santa would probably enjoy it too. There is also the light display at Griffith Park, bundle up, bring some hot chocolate, park at the zoo before it closes at 5, and walk through the display. The music and lights there surrounds you. So come on Kelli! Lets get your Christmas on!

Well thanks David a lot of good ideas! I went to work with my mom today and I could see the Ice Skating rink in Pershing Square from her window.
